ABOUT THIS LIST
This list represents a Half Century hoard with bikes as old as the beginning of the last century
Most bikes come with a comprehensive warranty. Because we are willing and able to adjust the component build, and even let you use some of your own special parts, pricing is flexible.
We can upgrade to any special need, or even ‘de-tune’ in the event of a price based decision. and lower level of investment.
Though many of the bikes have some historical value, there are many nice ‘everyday’ bikes
In addition to the listed bikes, we keep a nice assortment of everyday bikes for road, trail, off road, comfort, and fitness applications
CONDITION and VALUE
We prefer original bikes nor repainted and restored. A decent original (especially a well preserved original) is always going to be worth more and appreciate more than a restoration.
Even a rougher old frame we prefer to leave original since we can have it professionally repainted within a week in YOUR choice of hundreds of colors.
If we arbitrarily paint a bike and you like it except for the colors, it was a wasted effort.
SIZING
Most all of the frames are sized the only sensible way – seat tube center of bottom bracket to TOP of the seat collar – in other words, the lowest point to which the seat post can rest
PLEASE – If you are a ‘center-center’ seat tube measurement fan, we are sorry but because of the variety of top tube diameters, variation in ‘chimney’ height, unless we are cutting and mitering tubes building a frame, center-center is meaningless entirely.
Top Tube -usually center of Head tube to Center of seat tube or post measured usually on a horizontal level.
HOW TO SEARCH
Search for general terms using the search bar at the top. If you are looking for something more specific, you can input search terms at the top of one or more of the columns in the list. These can be used for your initial search, or to further narrow the results after using the main search bar.
